Overview
In this session, urological surgeon Dr David Wetherell will go through a practical step-by-step investigation of microscopic and macroscopic haematuria, essential work-ups, and when to refer to a urologist.

Case studies will be used for context.

Learning outcomes
By the end of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Distinguish between transient benign causes of haematuria and underlying malignant urological conditions.
  2. Identify the red flags requiring urgent urological referral for patients.
