This CPD activity enhances clinicians’ understanding of safe and compliant medicinal cannabis prescribing for mental health and neuropsychiatric conditions. The session provides clear, practical guidance on the regulatory requirements, including how to access medicinal cannabis via the TGA Special Access Scheme (SAS-B) and Authorised Prescriber (AP) pathways, as well as key compliance obligations for prescribers.
Participants will learn how to conduct appropriate patient assessment, select suitable treatment options, obtain informed consent, and monitor treatment response and safety. Real-world case discussions will support clinicians in applying best-practice prescribing principles to improve patient outcomes, while ensuring legal and professional standards are met.
By completeing the Canview confident prescriber course clinicians will gain a thourough understanding of the medicinal cannabis framework and prescribing pratices.
