Brief Overview
Management of endometriosis-associated pain in primary care
Program Details

By completing this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the pathophysiology of endometriosis, including how endometrial-like tissue outside the uterus contributes to symptoms and disease progression.

  2. Recognise that endometriosis-associated pain arises from multiple interacting pain mechanisms that can present differently among patients.

  3. Identify and discuss a range of pharmacological and non-pharmacological options for managing endometriosis-associated pain in general practice.

  4. Access and utilise reliable, up-to-date resources and support services to assist in consultations and enhance care for patients living with endometriosis.

By providing knowledge and awareness of the reliable up-to-date resources that are available to support them and their patients through the endometriosis journey.

Request proactively on patient’s journey pre-endoEDge program session compared to after session – does the patient feel there has been a difference? Does the participant also feel more confident in managing their endometriosis patients during a self-reflective session? Do further discussion with peers provide greater insights into the individual’s learning?
