Brief Overview
This workshop is designed for all healthcare practitioners involved in managing compensation patients under WorkCover, TAC, or Public Liability schemes. The session provides practical, hands-on training in writing accurate and defensible medico-legal reports that withstand legal scrutiny. Participants will learn key legal concepts, reporting techniques, and strategies to ensure appropriate remuneration for their medico-legal work. · Self-register for CPD points. Certificate will be provided on request.

· Interpret solicitors’ requests with accuracy and confidence

· Conduct effective medico-legal examinations

· Apply communication strategies to simplify complex medical concepts for legal professionals 

· Identifying and correcting errors in medico-legal reports

· Applying objective measures and clinical findings to support legal claims 

· Participants review their own recent medico-legal reports for accuracy, structure, and compliance

· Peer discussion on challenges in balancing clinical care with legal obligations

· Reflection on time spent versus remuneration for medico-legal reporting
