Brief Overview
Dr Saam Tourani will focus on the initial assessment of breast cancer by GPs. He will also demystify the basics of family history assessment for familial breast cancer. By the end of this presentation GPs will be able to assess the initial presenting symptoms of breast cancer and order appropriate investigations prior to referral to specialist. They will also be able to classify patients into the three risk groups based on their family history and provide them with appropriate advice/referral.
